The zoo just received 20 immature Greater flamingos from zoo Ohrada/Hluboka. They are kept in an aviary.

The Negev Zoo will change its name to the deserterium and will house several new species such as Israel's first aardvark, hippos and Nile crocodiles that both will live in a predator prey setup with guinea baboons. And their white lions siblings will move to a kopje themed predator prey setup to the huge savannah in which they'll get rhinos, giraffe and other hoofstocks. And last but not least is rumor has it they'll try to get Arabian leopards
