V is for Vulturine parrot

There are two species that could fall into this category. The pesquet's parrot is also known as the vulturine parrot, and there is also the south american forest species. The pesquet's lives in New Guinea and belongs to a monotypic genus.

You're not allowed to use either of these species!! Haaa I'm evil!
 
W is for Wolverine

Wolverines have a distinct odour which has given them nicknames of "skunk bear" or "nasty cat".
 
X is for Xantus's murrelet

There is some speculation that it may feed cooperatively in pairs.
 
Yellow Footed Rock wallaby

It has yellow Feet! It is also an endagered Noctournal Diprotodont.

This is one of two species of ground hornbill and is the only one where both male and female hav some blue on their pouches!

Bush dogs are quite good svimmers, and will even chase their prey into rivers and streams.

Usually seen in small flocks in open woodlands or grasslands, it is always close to water. With the clearing of much forest and the provison of water in arid regions for cattle, Crested Pigeons have increased in number.
 
D is for Daddy Long Legs

A Daddy Long Legs has the most powerful vemon in the world, yet has nothing to administer it.

E is for elongated tortoise

Male Elongated tortoises engage in very aggressive courtship behavior which can result in injury to the female if a large enough habitat is not provided. Male aggression against other males can also be very damaging and it is suggested that only one male be housed in an enclosure. In courtship, the male engages in ramming behavior as well as vigorous biting about the head, neck and front legs of the female. The male loudly vocalizes during mating, emitting a harsh, raspy sound while exhaling.
 
F is for False Gharial

False Gharials were originally classified in the family Crocodylidae but recent studies have found them more closely related to Gharials. It is now classed as Gavialidae.

A biggish money from South America that will make noise and slap when fighting instead of biting.

The Iberian Lynx is the world's most threatened cat (and most threatened carnivore in Europe)
 
J is for Jabiru, the largest stork in the new world.

It is the only member of the genus Jabiru and the name means swollen neck in the Tupi-Guarani language. The species name myceteria is also used for a related genus of storks
 
K is for Koala

Koalas sleep aprox 20 hours a day
 
L is for Lowland tapir.

This is also known as the brazilian tapir or the South american tapir and it lives in the Amazon. Like parrots it eats clay from riverbanks to reduce the effects of poison from the leaves it eats.
