Likely Mastchie's though. The zoo had Buerger's, a subspecies of Goodfellow's, the last in the US. I don't know what happened to them.

Hopefully they still have their Buerger's. Last I remember they had several of them. Fingers crossed they didnt give em away!

Also I saw it lists six habitats being part of the complex. I thought they were more (Baboons, Vervet monkeys, Ibex/Baboon, Multiple for Lemurs, Ratels, Leopards, Fossas, Crocidiles, Penguins)?

Six habitats, not six species. I think biome would be a better description than habitat?

The date has been set - June 10, 2017
San Diego Zoo Africa Rocks

This is wonderful news! I've been looking forward to my summer California zoo trip and I plan to spend the day at San Diego Zoo on Monday, July 10th, exactly one month after Africa Rocks opens to the public. As long as there are no delays lasting more than a month then I should be good to go. :)

Who will be attending the grand opening? I am excited to hopefully see some pictures taken if you can.

Assuming I still have Sunday-Monday off then as I do now, I hope to meet up with my friend Snowleopard once again. How many ZooCatters will be joining us?

If I stay in California over the summer and I'm free that Monday, I'd absolutely be down for a meetup. It won't be a while before I know my schedule though.

As much as I wish I could, I have other plans for the time. In the unlikely event I do visit San Diego this year, it will be in December.
Does anyone know what the 7 lemur species are?
Ring tailed, blue eyed black, red ruffed, and collared lemurs will be featured, as well as Coquerel's sifaka. I'm not sure where the number 7 comes from. The zoo also has aye-aye, bringing the number up to six at the zoo (not all at AR). Perhaps black and white ruffed for a 7th species?

Actually it is 5. Aye-aye and mouse lemurs were also going to be included bringing it up to 7. They were sadly cut.
