Longleat Safari & Adventure Park New Antelope

I went to Longleat in September time on a college trip and saw these new antelope in a paddock nearby to the wallabies. Now I assumed they were in quarantine ready to be a new attraction for 2009, and Ive looked around but can't find any information on them.

Anyone know anymore? :)
 
They looked like the Eland they have opposite the flamingos except with a lighter coat

A couple of oryx club meetings ago they mentioned that a few nyala had left Marwell for Longleat, so it's probably those.

EDIT: Yep, confirmed. ISIS lists 8.0.0 nyala at Longleat.
 
Siberian weasel, warthog, nyala, what is next at Longleat, good to see them broadening their species
 
The weasels will be part of Animal Adventure, the new attraction opening Summer.
 
i am glad there is a new antilope species, and hope they will get some female nyala and more antilope in future
 
I gather they are planning to do something similar with what they did with the Bongo, start of with a group of males then add females when they become available.

Nice to see another new species added to the collection.
 
Although according to ISIS, Longleat currently has only one weasel of unknown sex.

Don`t believe every thing you read on ISIS as it said Colchester had American Alliagators for at least 8 years after the species had been replaced by the African Slender-snouted Crocodile,although this can depend very much on the collection.
 
I asume the nyala are being kept in that small shed where they had the bongos when they first got them and then being moved to the african or game reserve?

Springing to mind, where are the bongos currently?
 
I thought the original plan was for them to go in the east african reserve.

Huxley, were they in a small wooden hut with a small outdoor enclosure, if so that is where they had the bongos.
 
They have been kept in the wooded valley where the elephants used to be and always have been.
 
Erm the Nyala were in a small concrete paddock nearby to the Wallabies. I dont recall a wooden house, but then again I wasnt looking for one. Erm. I assumed at the time that the courtyard was the one outside the Giraffe House.

The Bongos are kept in what I assume to be quite an open area nearby to the pelicans (Ive always wondered where the boundaries are for their 'enclosure').
