Thanks for the update. According to their website, the St. Augustine Aquarium is due to open at some point this year. I'd never even heard of the new Sea Life facility but that will be Sea Life #9 in the USA when it opens in 2017.
What is incredible is that the USA has approximately 130 aquariums and around 75 of them have opened since 1990. If we fast-forward a decade there will surely be many more Sea Life franchises proliferating across the landscape.

Here is an updated list of new aquariums, including 5 that opened in 2016 and 6 that are due to open in 2017. By my count the USA will reach a total of 136 aquariums next year and approximately 55% of them will have opened since 1990. Amazing!
