Just a quick update on our new arrivals! Savio the male giant anteater arrived on tuesday evening along with a two year old capybara from Edinburgh zoo! they are both settling in well in quarantine and we are looking forward to the females for both species arriving soon to join them!

One of our female black-footed cats 'Kira' has given birth to her first two kittens, both are doing well and are being monitored via a nestbox camera!
The father is 'Alex' a wuppertal bred male of which the father 'tigger' was bred here at belfast!:)

Cool! are the anteater and capybara going to be mixed? I always thought it would be nice to have some capys in the moat around the spider monkey island!

yes they will indeed be mixed! the spider monkey island area would be nice however i dont think it would be long until they trash the grass! :)

So where does this leave Edinburgh as far as giant anteaters are concerned?

they will receive a pair very soon

There was talk a few years ago of a pair coming in from Nashville, but haven't heard anymore, but it sounds as though you have a fair idea AL;)

Sorry to overtake your Belfast thread:(
