Quickly passing the bear enclosure this morning and noticed chester have a new male bear now. Both the new male and Loja were out in the enclosure.

Good to hear that he's arrived.

I found out from a keeper a couple of weeks ago, that he's come from Zurich if anyone's interested...

I was shocked, original I thought it was just Loja, but turned around and she was sitting up on the hill looking over precendings.

He seems to have settled in well

Does this new male have a name we know of?

Good question, I was hoping to ask someone, but there was no keepers around from that section. I normally see one or two of them usually but there was no one to ask today.

Groan. :( We were there on Friday, mainly to see the new baby rhino, didn't go anywhere near the bear area.

Yes I do, but am sure I will spell this wrong "Sergay". Loja is being aggressive towards him, so they are not getting on very well at the moment.

He came from Zurich

We saw the new bear on 29th November. He's a very handsome looking chap! I have some photos, but can't see to upload .jpgs. I have only .doc, .gif. .pdf, .png or .txt options. Is this disabled for new users by any chance or am I doing something wrong?

We can see .jpgs on our own hard drive and we are fairly newbees.
Select Gallery, at the bottom is a button for New Photo. Then you can browse to your own computer or whatever to load photos.

Maybe somebody who's been around a while will know a better way but this looks straightforward.

Chester are waiting for instructions form the studbook keeper with regard to importing a new female.
