The calf is now confirmed as a male, and a vote has been opened to choose his name.. the choices are

Mandela (as in Nelson Mandela)
Madiba (Mandela's nickname)
Kwanza (Swahili for first)
Kifaru (Swahili for Rhino)
Uhuru (Swahili for freedom)
Kijana (Swahili for boy)
