Paignton Zoo New Developments???

There is currently work going on opposite gibbon island on what looks like an aviary - does anyone know the details? The maintenance team are clearing an area behind the rhino's for Binturong - does anyone know the design of the exibit? The team have still got work at Living Coasts (octopus exhibit) to finish! Non-stop for those boys!

Now the building has been flattened they have planted lots of trees there.

Any updates?

Since I'm away from the UK at present can anyone update me please on any new developments at Paignton/Living Coasts.......
i.e. New Baboon Rock, Elephant's eye condition, cheetah cubs, Takin/Barbary Sheep mix, Ostrich hill paddock and mixed Gibbon pairing at end of Orang Island?

Duchess is still receiving treatment for her eye conditions. There's a Rhea in the old Ostrich paddock (the old and new Ostriches are in with the zebra). Naomi, the Grey Gibbon, is now living in one half of the gibbon house by the station with the male Pileated gibbon. Blondie, the Lar gibbon, is still in the house by the Orang island while she awaits a move to another zoo.

The Takin and Barbary sheep haven't beem mixed. They're still raising money for the Baboons - I think the plans are less ambitious now and will be more about updating the present enclosure rather than building a new one.
