Hi all,

Don't know if this has already been discussed, but has anyone read the new Dublin Zoo: An illustrated history book?
I'm half way through and it's a really good read. Just wanted to reccomend it!

Agreed. This book is excellent. Probably the best history book published about a British or Irish zoo in recent years. Good effort Dublin.
 
I've been tempted to order it as I have loads of zoo books, but it is $31.77 on Amazon and it's difficult to judge how worthy books are online. I might request it for Christmas!:)

Yeah its a really good book probably one of the best Ive come across. There are some great old pics that bring back memories! From a zoo history point of view its very interesting, well worth the money. you will enjoy it!
 
Well, it is Christmas Day and the Dublin Zoo book is in my possession! Along with that are books on the St. Louis and Lincoln Park Zoos, etc...:)
