Do you know which species are involved in Discover Australia.
Akron installed three new exhibits in Curious Creatures. Some of the other exhibits changed or moved around in Curious Creatures as well.
There's 3 enclosures:
Aviary 1 - Eastern Rosella, Straw-necked Ibis,Tawny Frogmouth
Yard - Red-necked Wallaby. There's no signage.
Aviary 2 - Laughing Kookaburra, Masked Lapwing
There was supposed to be a reptile building included with it, but I think it was dropped, I haven't seen mention of it in at least a year. There was also mention of black swans and emus in the past.
The visitor's center building is supposed to host reptiles and tropical birds from the zoo's traditional regions, north and south america. There were paper signs on the back of the building for Panamanian golden frog and a yellow anaconda, but no animals or enclosures were visible. They currently have no reptiles or amphibians on display anywhere in the zoo, except for the local turtles that live in the pond.
Henry Vilas Zoo has been renovating new exhibits in the Herpeterium. Standing's Day Gecko is one of the new species.
