New Hyena lover here...

Good morning. Recently discovered this site/group of people, and had to join. Many years ago I had worked in an exotics animal preserve where I was responsible for the care and upkeep of a number of animals....one of them being a large penned area that had 6 hyenas. They were all VERY friendly, and ornery. Always sneaking up behind me, stealing my gloves and wanting me to give chase, and such. And on the occassion I should be on the ground, I was mobbed by all 6 as if they were overgrown puppies. Ever had 6 hyenas sit on and wallow around on top of you wanting to rough house and play?....Very heavy. LOL. Thankfully they were all very social and not mean in the least. Anyway, since that time I was hooked and had alwlays dreamed of having a couple of my own. I few years back I bought 24 acres here and have been slowly working to that point. My state requires the area be inspected and approved before they give me the license to have them...and I, by no means, intend to have them illegally. Anyway, thats just my 2 cents for now, glad to be here.

Well, as I had mentioned....I used to work at an exotics preserve, and they had 6 of them I had to care for. I been hooked ever since. the hardest and most expensive part, buying the acreage, I have accomplished. Now its just a matter of building and doing the rest. Oh, and thank you for the nice welcome!
