Four new species of legless lizards have been described from California, including one from the sand dunes at Los Angeles International Airport.

Bakersfield Legless Lizard

Yeah for the Bakersfield legless lizard! That one was "discovered" downtown. Now we are famous for our nice air, Buck Owens/Merle Haggard, and a legless lizard.
