ZSL London Zoo New London Tiger Exhibit

Very good link zooplantman. Nice to know there will be underwater viewing. There also seems to be alot of dens 5 plus a cubbing den does this mean that there will be more than a pair of tigers?

Plans also shows that the tiger enclosure will be netted.

Somehow I think that site is not supposed to be public. It asks for a log in and then proceeds without it.
We may be getting a glimpse "behind the curtain."
 
Sumatran tigers will be housed in the new enclosure which will have the theme of an Indonesian forest I think.

I went for a brief visit to London Zoo today (5th Sept) and in the area around the Hippos there is a new notice giving details of the tiger plans. Please find a picture of this notice now posted on the gallery.

The new tiger area plans to be open by Easter 2013 or by Easter 2012 if funds are raised quicker. The project looks quite ambitious as it says it will encompass the area around the hippo pool, anoa enclosure and pathways.
