New moderators

Our well known moderator Pertinax has decided that it is time to stand down as a moderator - he's not disappearing, just felt it was time to take a break and contribute to the site as a regular user now.

I'd like to thank Pertinax for his help in keeping the site running and making this a great community for all zoo and animal lovers!

I've asked two of our well known members to step in and help look after the Europe section - please welcome TeaLovingDave and Nisha to the role of moderator - I'm sure they'll do a great job of helping Kiang keep the busy Europe section of the site under control!

In addition, I've asked two of our other members to help look after the Oceania section - please also welcome zooboy28 and Chlidonias to the role of moderator - I'm looking forward to working with them as well.

Of course, jbnbsn99 and mstickmanp are still around, working tirelessly on the North American section of the site - I'd like to thank them for their continued efforts too!

Just FYI - while they each have their main "sections" they look after, all moderators can perform moderation tasks across the entire site if necessary - they are all part of a team who give their time and energy to help keep this a great site, and I really appreciate the effort they put in for the community.

Pertinax, I may not know you as well as other ZooChatters with me not visiting the European forums too often but from the same threads we've been on you've been a wealth of information and a great mod! Glad you're still staying on despite that you're just going to be a regular chatter now:p Best of luck to the new guys!

Pertinax - A big thank you and well done for all your hard work - Hope you'll still stick around the site :)

On the other hand, Just wanted to say another big thank you for the opportunity to take on this role. Like TLD, I was amazed to even be asked :D I hope I can make a good contribution to the site as a mod.. but I'll certainly do my best

I'm mostly just amazed. Or amazing. I get those two confused sometimes.

We seem to be having a spambot infestation, so you have your work cut out for you.

Thanks for all the above comments. I am sure Nisha and TeaLovingDave will do excellent service on the UK and European sections, and Chlidonias and Zooboy28 in their area too, and I wish them all the best. I will still be posting frequently of course.;)

And I think this thread must be unique for the number of consecutive 'blue label' Moderator posts on it.(see above). Any suggestions for the correct term for a group of Zoochat Moderators?

One thing that is worrying me though, all of Oceania is being ran by two kiwis. Surely our Australian members are quaking at the thought of Chlidonias and Zooboy taking retribution for any snide kiwi remarks! nanoboy I'm looking at you here... ;)
