Closed New photo gallery request thread

Hi Sim in the Bioparc Valencia gallery (Spain) page 10 there are two pics from the Oceanografic (a beluga whale and a striated heron) by Paradoxurus, can you to put them in the correct gallery, thanks!

Sorry for the inconvenience again, but in the gallery Spain- Valencia -oceanografic-page 1, there is a photo of an white crowned mangabey, this pic I´m sure is take in old Jardin zoologico de Valencia (closed) can you move ? thanks again!

No inconvenience at all! In fact, I appreciate you taking the time to point out photos that are in the wrong gallery ... often when I'm moving photos out of the "general" galleries, I have to guess where they go and sometimes I get it wrong!

Please let me know if you find any others that need moving!
 
please could you make a gallery for alton towers as they are opening a new aquarium and i have some photos i would like to upload.
 
Hello Sim,!there is a thing that I do not understand, in the gallery "Europe,Spain, Fauna ibérica", I upload 5 pics 5 days ago, but in the "principal page (Spanish gallery)" this change not appear, what´s occurs? the number of pics are 8 but must be 13. Thanks!

That's a problem that sometimes happens with the way the photo gallery is now set up - there is occasionally a delay in updating the forum information so the post counts don't match.

I have run some maintenance routines to force the updates to happen, so they should be correct now. I'll see if I can get the system to update the post counts more quickly.
 
I was also wondering wy when you click on the new coments photo section most of the photos that come up dont have any coments on them?

The "New Comments" search also included newly uploaded photos.

However, I've been finding this to be a bit cumbersome, so I changed the code slightly and now the "New Comments" and "Today's Comments" searches now only show photos with comments and does not show newly uploaded photos without any comments yet.

This means that if you want to see recently uploaded photos you now have to use the "Recent Photos" search.

I'm not 100% convinced this is the best way to do things yet - I'll see how it goes. The benefit of having new photos included in the "New" searches is that you can easily track those photos which you haven't yet viewed. I'll have to think about whether that is really a problem or not.

I see you moved the Berne Bears into the thread - the Bear its are actually in the city of Berne, and not a part of the zoo, which is why I loaded those into "Switzerland - Other".
