Yeah good shout!
Brazilians would be very cool indeed. No. But you have excellent taste.
It's actually kelp geese in Chile that will rock my little world, I've been waiting 40 years. They've been kept a bit in Europe but I somehow have never seen one and there's nothing like seeing a species in the wild. I thought about lying like a dog and saying it was Campbell Island teal or Salvadori's or a little group of pink-headed ducks kept secretly by a friend in Assam. Alas, I am too honest.
I'm actually a bit iffy about Brazilians. Very special because they are very rare but are they actually as flat out sexy as red-breasted merganser? When scaly-sideds arrived in US I was excited. Disappointing. Lack the stature of a common merganser or the charm of a red-breasted. But when I see a Brazilian I do promise to say "Oooooh, look at that"! Weird blackish green things.
That might be a fun new discussion for someone else to start. What's an animal you always wanted to see and were disappointed when you did? Koala, yawn. Conversely what's an animal that didn't excite you till you saw it in the flesh? Aye aye - face to face through an open door, moving faster than I expected. Magical.

I can agree with you on aye-ayes: I was so surprised at how big they were first time seeing one!

Ah kelp geese! Fantastic species! I did think about questioning if you somehow knew of some living pink-headed ducks :p
