The Scottish Deer Centre have announced they are expecting Northern Lynx in April 2012.
....and they have arrived. They are a pair of females from Woburn
Recent births include
2:2 Small Clawed Otter
0:0:1 Barasingha Calf
Would not mind if they go into Carpathian lynx and / or Scottish wild cats (if they do not have the latter yet ... forgive us for thinking so if they do do ...).
Why would Carpathian Lynx be too special for this, collection given some of the deer species that they have, they certainly have a very good reputation within the zoo community for how they keep those species. So if they did want to keep Carpathian lynx I don't think they would have to many problems, finding a collection that would be happy to send them some! They have Scottish wildcats, Carpathian lynx maybe just to special yet.![]()
