This is a paper from mid-2020 about Low's Squirrel Sundasciurus lowii of southeast Asia, which may be of interest to any of us who look for wildlife in that part of the world.

Species New to Science: [Mammalogy • 2020] Ancient Divergence Driven by Geographic Isolation and Ecological Adaptation in Forest Dependent Sundaland Tree Squirrels (Genus Sundasciurus)

They have split off S. robinsoni of the Malay Peninsula and Sumatra from S. lowii of Borneo, as well as named another new species from the southern Natuna Islands (S. natunensis). This latter species may also occur in southern/western Borneo (the data is unclear), while S. lowii also occurs in the northern Natuna Islands. On Borneo, S. lowii may still be a complex of up to three species, but they have not split it yet due to lack of data. Some of the subspecies have also been changed due to synonymy.
