Newly Discovered/Described Species 2022

Cirrhilabrus finifenmaa was described in March 2022, formerly known under the name Cirrhilabrus rubrisquamis. Both species got split and it is the newly described C. finifenmaa that is kept in the aquarium trade.

They weren't both split - if that were the case they would have become at least four species. C. finifenmaa is a split from C. rubrisquamis.

It also notes that C. wakanda may be a synonym of C. rubrisquamis.
