The Gold Creek place *is* the Canberra Reptile Zoo. This article is at variance with what I previously understood to be the sequence of events.

Although I haven't visited the Canberra reptile zoo, I have personally known the owner from his days working as a pet shop manager. You won't find a nicer bloke, and so chuffed that he achieved his dream of running a zoo.

That's what I thought when reading it. Twenty years ago he founded his own little 'zoo', actually a reptile shop, at his home in Kambah (Canberra Exotic Pets). I visited it several times, and saw Peter on numerous occasions at Reptile Expos in Sydney. As Tetrapod said, a very nice bloke.
