Which species of lemur is this?
Also any idea of where this closing rumour came from?
They have two species of lemur, ring-tailed and collared brown. What are you referring to towards the species of lemur?

I forget the exact source I saw the closing rumor, but I can assure you it’s NOT true and just a rumor.
I know that there are 2 in Oasis, and that 1 of them is named Annie. They had (have?) anteaters in oasis
Houston had/has a 'Berani' but not sure if it's the same male.Does anybody know how to spell the new male Siamang's name? I asked a cast member and they said it like "Burani" but I'm not sure.
I think that he and Veruca are getting along well. They like to face each other, only a foot apart, and just calmly blast their booming voices into each others' faces. That's probably a good sign?
They have two anteaters, Annie and Cali. However, they are never on exhibit at the same time so you will only see one of them on your visit. Annie’s very old and likes to sleep a lot in her favorite spot in the bottom right corner of the exhibit, while Cali is a lot younger and a lot more active.I know that there are 2 in Oasis, and that 1 of them is named Annie.
I think Colobus Monkey Damien was indeed transferred because when I visited last week, someone told me that one of those monkeys was being moved in the coming weeks, so that is probably him.The Oasis section has seen a lot of recent additions so this is what I have as the current list...Baer's Pochard, Black-Necked Swan, Brent Goose, Canvasback, Coscoroba Swan, Eurasion Wigeon, Falacated Duck, Nene, Northern Shoveler, Orinocco Goose, Puna Teal, Red-Breasted Goose, Red-Crested Pochard, Redhead Duck, Roseate Spoonbill, Rosybill Pochard, Scaly-sided Merganser & White-Faced Whistling Duck
The Gorilla Falls aviary now has a Bearded Barbet and Black-Cheeked Love Birds. There are six new immature Taveta Golden Weavers. Gorilla Augustus has reportedly passed away. Colobus Monkey Damien has either passed away or been transferred.
Over at Safari, African Wild Dog Riddler reportedly passed away earlier this month. The Saddle-Billed Storks are nesting.
In Dinoland the Abdim Stork pair had a chick that hatched March 5th. The sex is still unknown.
The black-necked swans have been at the park quite a while, they have always been in the Oasis but previously they were in a different exhibit and now they are in the first exhibit as you walk in the park. The falcated teal were off-exhibit last I went but they were previously in Maharajah Jungle Trek, is it the same one exhibited in the Oasis now that was previously on Maharajah Jungle Trek? The Oasis section has seen a lot of recent additions so this is what I have as the current list...Baer's Pochard, Black-Necked Swan, Brent Goose, Canvasback, Coscoroba Swan, Eurasion Wigeon, Falacated Duck, Nene, Northern Shoveler, Orinocco Goose, Puna Teal, Red-Breasted Goose, Red-Crested Pochard, Redhead Duck, Roseate Spoonbill, Rosybill Pochard, Scaly-sided Merganser & White-Faced Whistling Duck

I couldn't tell you anything about the swans except that they're still there unfortunately. It is possible they came from MJT, but I can't say with any certainty. The black-necked swans have been at the park quite a while, they have always been in the Oasis but previously they were in a different exhibit and now they are in the first exhibit as you walk in the park. How recently did Gus pass away? By looking on Gorillas Land(which is a captive gorilla database) it says that he is still alive. I’m not surprised though, he was over 40 years old and battled arthritis for years
A shame. Gus and Gino were the first gorillas I got to know, annd they were already in their mid-to-late 30s when I got to know them and they’ve been here since the park opened. Due to Gus’ arthritis issues I have always expected him to die before Gino and he lived way longer than expected. He was still such a fighter, and still had a great appetite and would come out on exhibit every single day and still remained active in his older years. Keepers did everything they could for him with daily medications and his holding space was modified so he could more easily get in and out of it. As with many aging animals, it is likely his arthritis had progressed to the point where it was no longer treatable. Was that his cause of death?I couldn't tell you anything about the swans except that they're still there unfortunately. It is possible they came from MJT, but I can't say with any certainty.
Gus passed sometime in February from what cast have said. They are allowed to mention it to guests if asked. As for Gorillas Land, they still have Ada listed as "DAK 21-01" with no updated photo so their information is not quite up to date.
Corra the baby African elephant has made her debut. And some even more exciting news, TWO more African Elephants are expecting, and are due in 2025!

According to vets at Disney’s animal kingdom, Luna is in fact one of the pregnant cows!
That is excellent news. So, the facility has learned by example that endurance and sticking to their bull Sdudla and allow for natural reproduction. Personally, I really fail to understand why intervention or introductions had not happened sooner..., a birth interval of close on 7 years between births for breeding cow Donna is beyond the pale and ridicuously long, most certainly if you realise how short the breeding window for sexually mature reproductive age African cow elephants really is.
