by taking care of these males they familiarise themselves with this species before introducing breeding females to the collection.

The zoo was taken over by a film crew filming TV series "Grace " They turned the zoo into a base camp for two days. The zoo underwent a total rebound with new signage and uniforms.
The zoo will feature in the new series, forth episode, scheduled to air on September 22nd on ITV.
 
The zoo was forced to close for the day due to two burst water mains,also affecting hundreds of other properties. Water was put back on in the late afternoon.
