by taking care of these males they familiarise themselves with this species before introducing breeding females to the collection.

A pair of capybaras were been born to mum Clementine on the 3rd of July.
A red-handed tamarin has also been born to mum Isla and dad Kiwa.
Drusillas have also announced that they are taking over the old Minor Mania soft-play centre in Bells Yew Green near Tunbridge Wells. It is to be renamed Amazon Adventure.
Six prairie dog pups were also born in June.
They also announced the birth of a silvery marmoset named Nova.

The zoo announced on Friday that their binturong Penh has passed away at the age of 18, having been at the park since 2010.
According to the park he was one of just 3 Cambodian Binturongs held in Europe.
His DNA has also been cryogenically preserved by Nature’s SAFE.

He was the only one there after the female passed away a couple of years ago.
Drusillas also no longer has yellow-throated martens.

Have they passed away or left the collection as wasn't it only last year they acquired them?
They left to join the others at Exmoor Zoo I believe.
There was definitely a binturong at Drusilla's today. Not sure what sub-speices though.
Oh yes there's a new individual which is Palawan.

The zoo was taken over by a film crew filming TV series "Grace " They turned the zoo into a base camp for two days. The zoo underwent a total rebound with new signage and uniforms.
The zoo will feature in the new series, forth episode, scheduled to air on September 22nd on ITV.

The zoo was forced to close for the day due to two burst water mains,also affecting hundreds of other properties. Water was put back on in the late afternoon.

A baby Pygmy Marmoset was born on August 5th.

I'm going tomorrow, what should I expect?
The coppery titis replaced the martens in the exhibit beside the flamingos so they're the newest species currently. Otherwise the walkthroughs should still be open on weekends and the majority of the animals are all very visible
