Where he will soon met his cousins...
The 2 resident females at Parc des Félins, sisters Rita and Aretha, are twice Tambo's cousins. The girls' mother and Tambo's father are siblings, the girls' father and Tambo's mother are siblings too.
Last december 19th Swanie, a female southern white rhino, gave birth to her third calf and it's a girl

Video of the site of the future bears' valley which will open next year. The new exhibit is 2,4 hectares and will include a small hill, a river flowing into two pounds.
Recent births in la Boissière :
- three bolivian squirrel monkeys in May,
- a gelada babbon June 28th,
- 14 flamingos (don't know the species) between June 18th and 30th,
- twin golden-headed lion tamarins July 11th.
The male, leucistic, arrived not a long time ago from another country.

In a new press article the director revealed some of the next projects of the zoo with the main idea of a 14 hectares enlargement :
- confirmation of the transfer of the brown bears to a new 2,4 hectares enclosure next year.
- new 3 hectares enclosure for the sumatran tigers.
- tropical dome on a 6 hectares area (no more info about the size and the subject of the building) which will permit to the zoo to open whole year. The owner expect to do it before 2030.
- new 3 hectares car park.
For the moment the owner has secured 5 of the 14 hectares for the future developments.
