I know its late in the year to start a 2014 thread but there was nowhere else to put it.

2 female Grants zebras have arrived and it takes their herd up to 1 stallion, 4 mares and a colt.

Gocd news that they are breeding here now. But they claim this calf is 'the first in the UK to be born North of Newquay.' What about Marwell before they left or previously Whipsnade too? Both are North of Newquay also.

Understandably perhaps they don't mention the replacement animal they had to get either- I never found out which of their original pair (male or female) died, or whether its replacement came from Newquay or from Marwell. Does anyone know?

Lake District....

And of course they bred at Woburn and I believe Whipsnade in the past.

It is the first calf born 'North of Newquay' in the last year or two, but that's not quite what the statement implies.

1:0 Tapir has been born to second time parents Muffin & Rio, There first being Alves who still lives at Lake District Wildlife Park

A male Brazilian Tapir has been exported to the United Arab Emirates this week

1.0 Red Panda has also arrived from Dublin
