The real breakthrough was 2 years back already. Only for a malpositioning in utero the calf did not survive. I would love to see her conspecific cage-mate fall pregnant too (by the same method)!

The calf should be due by October 2010. Vinu is a very valuable breeding animal.
 
I believe Chitwan (The other female) also became pregnant the first time around, but she suffered a miscarrage in the early stages
