Birth of 2 male bush dog pups last december 12th. The park is now home to 4,1 animals.

The young Arctic Wolf female KIANA, born in Beauval and transferred in Thoiry in late 2020, has now a litter of 4 pups. (Instagram account of the zoo)

A new aviary has been built for the Lac Alaotra bamboo lemurs.

The young elephant bull Moyo arrived from Magdeburg Zoo. Another young bull Jabu from Boras is also due to be brought in soon. They both join Ben.
This is a very bad news as the elephant barn is the worth I know and is not fit for 3 bulls.
Nevertheless there is a good news : the park announced that they will build a new elephant facility at the entrance of the safari with a new 1.400 square metters barn, a 2 hectares' savanna and... lodges (to make more money
).
Thoiry unveils a 30 millions investment plan which they hope will help them to reach 1.000.000 visitors in a few years.
We do not know exactly what will be done except :
- the new elephant exhibit announced above.
- new luxury accomodations/lodges.
- refurbished safari parts (an enlargement is already taking shape).

I don't know if the return of lions or other big cats is scheduled.
The safari part looks a bit empty with nearly only hoofstock, plus the black bears and wolves in the American section.
Mali, a 17 years old pileated gibbon, arrived to join Yndee, a male already present at the zoo.

On Nov. 24 a male Lowland anoa was born at the park .

About two weeks ago a Giant ant-eater was born at Thoiry .
.
Some important precisions on this plan :
- the 30 millions euros will be invested by 2028.
- 5 new lodges will be created in 2024 and 35 more in 2025.
- the park will be enlarged with 35 new hectares by 2028 (it is now 50 hectares).
- the park wants to promote mixed species exhibits.
- between 2026 and 2028 the park will stop cars drivethrough to replace with its own trucks and a new public transport with a 360 degrees view.

They can be seen in the American part of the Safari.

Jabu, 9 years old african elephant bull, came from Boras. He join two other bulls in Thoiry :
- 43 years old Ben,
- 10 years old Moyo.
The three bulld are already together.

A young Red Panda born in Lille Zoo and called PYARO arrived in Thoiry last Monday.
Thoiry ZooSafari on Instagram: "[LE MOT DES RANGERS - NOUVEAU PENSIONNAIRE ] Nous l’attendions avec impatience depuis l’arrivée de la jolie River l’an dernier, c’est avec plaisir que nous vous présentons aujourd’hui Pyaro, le nouveau mâle panda roux arrivé à Thoiry lundi ! Âgé de 10 mois, ce jeune mâle est originaire du Zoo de Lille. A Thoiry, il va former un couple reproducteur avec River dans le cadre du programme de conservation de l’espèce. La rencontre entre les 2 individus s’est d’ailleurs déroulée à merveille ! Venez donc les observer dans leur enclos au milieu du parc à pied ! "
