During today’s visit I only saw one new species, masked lapwing (Vanellus miles).But sadly I did see that the galago/bush baby no longer is signed, and according to a keeper I asked it has passed away.
There were a few empty aviaries, for example one in the European section, and one in the South American section which used to hold Chilean tinamous and austral parakeets.

I forgot to mention one new species from my latest visit: I saw two Western black redstarts (Phoenicurus ochruros gibraltariensis), likely from Zoo Plzen.
Also, I missed sharing some other news. It looks like there’s been a change in the walk-through aviary at the Uhu-Burg. It used to have several species of owls, kites, and buzzards along with the muntjaks. Now, it seems to only house a group of snowy owls and the muntjaks.
To match my post about the galago, I have some sad news now as well, the ornate lorikeet has apparently passed away as well.

According to ZTL, the Yellow-green grosbeaks and Red-bellied fruit doves have died
During today's visit, I saw the following species newly on show:
- Eurasian siskin (Spinus spinus)
- Eurasian bullfinch (Pyrrhula pyrrhula)
- Common redshank (Tringa totanus)
- Red-throated bee-eater (Merops bulocki)
- Domestic pigeons (Columba livia f. domestic) (In the flight show)
- Common black kite (Milvus migrans migrans) (Back on show after a short absence)
- Common buzzard (Buteo buteo) (Back on show after a short absence)
Some other information:
- Unfortunately, it is correct that the last Yellow-green grosbeak (Caryothraustes canadensis) has passed away.
- I spoke with a keeper about the Red-bellied Fruit Dove (Ptilinopus greyi) mentioned in the previous post. The keeper cryptically mentioned that there might still be at least a pair kept behind the scenes.
- A zookeeper informed me that the park's last Eurasian Northern hawk-owl (Surnia ulula ulula) and Eurasian great grey owl (Strix nebulosa lapponica) have also passed away, most likely due to a virus.
- The African jacanas (Actophilornis africanus) are now free in the free-flying Africa hall in the Paradieshalle.
- Spotted thick-knee (Burhinus capensis) can now be seen in one of the African parrot aviaries, located between Pukara and the parrot house.
- The pale-winged trumpeters (Psophia leucoptera) are currently kept behind the scenes, and the aviary how houses chestnut-eared araçari (Pteroglossus castanotis). The plan seems to be to keep these two species together there eventually.
- I'm uncertain if the King Bird-of-paradise (Cicinnurus regius) is still on show; the sign is still there, but we could only see a Twelve-wired Bird-of-paradise (Seleucidis melanoleucus) in that aviary.
Additionally, something that might be of interest is that the park now appears to have a few special opening days during the winter. Their season card information now mention, "New: Additional Opening Days in Winter".

They have multiple pale-winged trumpeters? I thought they've just one, because I always saw one specimen during my visits. For some reason this species seems really rare in captivity. I hope they will succesfully breed some day.
Check out www.Zootierliste.de. Quite an accurate database for species being kept in public zoos.
They actually have a pair, or at least they did when I asked a zookeeper not too long ago. However, the animals haven't been kept together because they don't get along well. Instead, they rotate them on show, with only one shown at a time while the other one is kept inside the building, with just net in between so they hopefully can learn to accept each other one day..
Several species have been added to Zootierliste for WVP, including a few imports from the US.

Keep in mind that even though the US birds are imported under the name of Weltvogelpark Walsrode, they may be moved to other zoos or private keepers. Walsrode sometimes acts as a 'hub' for imports, distributing birds to other parks and owners. So this does not 100% mean that all of them will be kept at the park.

- Aplomado falcon (Falco femoralis) - This one might be of subspecies pichinchae from Vogelpark Olching, but I have not gotten this confirmed yet.
- Taveta weaver (Ploceus castaneiceps)
- Mongolian ring-necked pheasant (Phasianus colchicus mongolicus)
Some other news:
- The Ashy-faced owls (Tyto glaucops), European boreal owls (Aegolius funereus funereus), and Ural owls (Strix uralensis) no longer appear to be on show, possibly due to the previously mentioned virus.
- The Lesser rheas (Rhea pennata) are also no longer on show.
- Pale-winged trumpeter (Psophia leucoptera) is now back on show again.
- The Austral parakeets (Enicognathus ferrugineus) and Chilean tinamous (Nothoprocta perdicaria) are now back on show near the penguins.
- Walsrode’s Purple-bellied lories have now been identified as the subspecies Fergusson purple-bellied lory (Lorius hypoinochrous devittatus), according to Zootierliste.

Are these the same grey partridges that have been reassigned a subspecies or are they new individuals?
New individuals from a private breeder, just recently got put on show.
A few new species have arrived at Weltvogelpark Walsrode, but they are to my knowledge not on show yet:

This evening, staff on Zootierliste moved approximately 60 species to the 'former holdings' section for Weltvogelpark Walsrode. To my understanding, these species were confirmed by park staff as no longer being kept.
Below is a list of species removed this evening, but I might have missed some. Notably, the list includes rare species like the Black-throated mango (Anthracothorax nigricollis), Blue-winged pitta (Pitta moluccensis), and Blue-backed manakin (Chiroxiphia pareola).

Then why don't you do that/ask others to do so...
I realize I phrased that incorrectly. What I meant to say is that there are a few other species that probably should be moved to former holdings, but haven't yet because it's not been confirmed that they are not kept anymore. I edited my post to fix this.
I remove species as fast as I have confirmation and are "allowed" to do so.
