Three nicobar pigeons have arrived at Rockhampton Zoo, they are in quarantine
I'm not if their from Australia or overseas
Sorry I didn't realize I put the angry face, I meant the smiley face (Just turn it upside down)

I think they must have come from within Australia, I don't think importations are allowed at all. Taronga, Melbourne, Adelaide and Gorge all have colonies of this species, so there are a few around. They are a great species, should look great up in a rainforest aviary in Rockhampton.
 
no, there are no imports allowed. They are kept in several zoos as well as in private aviculture.

The Australian stock is probably descended from imports by Taronga's Edward Hallstrom in the 1940s or 1950s.
