Nile crocodile browses at California mall

To the best of knowledge, there are no Nile crocs in Australia, yet they go shopping in LA!

I don't get it.

(Also there still are some Nile crocodiles in Australia).

I am surprised you can type a response! I expected you to be standing stock still with bees in your MC Hammer (i.e. baggy, for the younger readers) pants. :p

Where has Nile crocs in Oz?

Oh and I was lamenting that exotic animals go shopping in malls in LA, and we have so much red tape to bring exotics to Oz. But we make do with what we can get. I am going to post in the Werribee Zoo thread now.

ah I see. That did not come across at all :p

I was going to point out that Salties have been known to wander down the main streets of towns in Far North Queensland and the Territory in the past.

I assume you (Chlidonias) are referring to a thread by Zooboy along the lines of "Reptiles in Australian Zoos". If so, why not make it a sticky on the Australia forum? It isn't at the moment.

And Hix, I remember when we did the Kakadu tour a few years ago, the guide said that salties sometimes play the role of road humps in flood season.

oh I thought he had "stuck" that already. I must have been thinking of the native mammal one. Maybe he forgot, or is going to do a different version for a sticky.

The title of this thread always just makes me think of Wally Gator. Anyone else remember that?
