A new conservation park called Noah's Ark is being crowdfunded by British entrepreneur Richard Prinsloo Curson.
The park will cover an area of 100 square kilometres, with plans to build it on the northeast coast of Kwazulu-Natal. The entire project will likely cost around £5-billion (R100-billion).
The development will feature a national park containing South African wildlife, the world's biggest aquarium and geodomes containing artificial environments replicating Antarctica and the Amazon rainforest.
The project is hoped to progress over the next five years, which will be documented in a 12-part television series that is currently being filmed.
