Noah's Ark Zoo Farm Noah's Ark Zoo Farm 2022

Rasu (male) came from Zurich Zoo; Mididi (female) came from Chester Zoo.
Congratulations to Madidi and Rasu, for becoming first time Parents to two beautiful Cubs!! @Zoofan15 It’s crazy to think that Bernhard and Lima Chester’s Specticald Bears have cubs that are only months older than their Granchildren.

Does anyone know how visible the Andean bear cubs are to the public? I only remember seein one large enclosure on my visit a few years ago and wondered if the cubs are set back a bit from the public

I visited here for the first time following a fairly depressing visit to the carcass of Bristol Zoo.

Just a few observations, mainly positive (given how much criticism the place gets on here)

Several exhibits I would consider excellent - African Elephant, Andean Bear, Giant Tortoise, all contenders for best for species(possibly best) in the UK!

Good - South American multi species exhibit for Tapir /Capybara /Mara (sadly no anteater)
Prairie Dogs

Perfectly acceptable - Siamang (sizewise excellent but a bit bare!)
Lions
Rhino
Mixed African savanna

Virtually no exhibit was poor given its inhabitants.
Overall I enjoyed my 3 hour plus visit, but at over £20 it was probably a bit over priced (but where isn't? London and Longleat are far worse value to most probably at almost twice the price!)

Noah's Ark is one of the zoos I plan to visit for the first time in 2023, just looking at their website it seems like a nice little place, and I've never seen African elephants before. While I have read about the issues it's had in the past, it hadn't deterred me from wanting to visit.

I visited for the first time at Easter and whilst I won't rush back I enjoyed it and agree with what you have said here. I did think the place was a little odd but I spoke to some very friendly staff and concluded, judging by the curious interiors of many of the animal houses that some sort of deal was going on with a tile manufacturer ofr bulk buys of discontinued tiles! The only issue I have is with the giraffe housing, particularly given the stick Regent Parks house gets. The single giraffe was shut in a very small yard immediately outside the house and was certainly there for the three hours of my visiit. The slped gravelled area appeared uneven and messy and neither the giraffe or zebra had access to the equally sloped grass area. In a way, I was disappointed not to see any radical creationist stuff.

You could combine it with a visit to Wild Place project for a full day.

I agree, the site for the giraffe paddock seems unsuitable and the house is tiny. I visit two or three times a year and I don't recall ever seeing the giraffes move more than a few yards from the house. The rhino house is also very small but generally the place is improving with each new enclosure they build. I wish they'd get rid of the domestic livestock from the level ground in the zoos centre and build a giraffe new house there.

Single giraffe? Shouldn't there be 2 father and son?

I completely agree about the giraffe house. The rhino indoor area was dark and damp but I think it had just been hosed out.but there persists a view that children like the domestic animals more than exotics and the farm origin of the place is never going to go away completely.

I completely agree about the giraffe house.
When I visited some years ago the Giraffe House stood out as one of the most substandard buildings there. I also remember the outside area is on a slope, its possible the giraffe don't feel happy on an incline like that. Needs upgrading or remodelling.
