Welcome to ZooChat! I must say I know very little of noise pollution in the ocean - what sources of noise pollution specifically are you looking at?

Boats and ships create noise pollution - particularly from propellers.

The use of sonar could be considered a form of noise pollution as well.

Similarly, the noise of vehicles crossing a bridge may be transmitted into the water via pylons.

I'm not sure how much of an issue it actually is - I don't understand the effects of sound transmission through water very well, but I do know that some sea animals (dolphins and whales I believe), are very sensitive to sound.

You should look into seismic blasting, a crisis for Arctic species due to man's greed for oil.
