The long-awaited population list.

I created this amazing population list for the giant anteater. This population list records all births, deaths, and transfers of all giant anteaters kept in North America. An updated list will be posted each year in this same thread. The total population of NA is 56.57.3 individuals, with 67 holders in total: 64 in the US, 1 in Canada, and 2 in Mexico. The Canadian population is 0.1 individuals, the US population is 56.55.2 individuals, and the Mexican population is 0.1.1 individuals. It is organized by country and by alphabetical order. Natural Bridge Zoo will be excluded from this population list.
Any help would be appreciated to fill in the void.

However, I couldn’t help but notice that you’re missing (1.0) Lancaster / “Lants” of the Brandywine Zoo in Delaware.

Additionally, while (1.0) Bumi (of the NFWC) was born in human care; I suspect his parents may have been wild-born, but I don’t guarantee it.

The population remains fairly stable, and a number of new pairs have recently been set up or are planned to be, some of which are not reflected in this list.

Also, one of the four facilities without a male, Detroit, is in the process for building a new habitat for them and I've heard that the director is trying to get a male to breed.

Recently, (0.1) Chive of the Fresno Chaffee Zoo was transferred over to the Sedgwick County Zoo; leaving the former facility without anteaters.

After seeing it on a photo on a Bronx Zoo zookeeper's Instagram and asking her more about it, Tapas (F) from the Pittsburgh Zoo is now at the Bronx Zoo. Velcro (F) is still at the Bronx Zoo, but behind the scenes in the building where they do educational presentations.
