North American Population Lists

@Zoofan15 thank you, I'll definitely reconsider doing this population thread then minus China. :)
Noted, I will let you work on it then if you do not wish to continue, I might do it.
I would love to see population threads for Siamang, White-handed gibbon, Northern white-cheeked gibbon, Mandrill, and Hamadryas baboons. I might start working on them this summer when I have some more free time.
If you need help, I can help you work on these lists.

Just so it's clear - I was not at all implying that @Kifaru Bwana is ill-suited to creating a thread for Giant Tortoises. If a population thread was not something he is interested in doing, I wanted to make sure people were aware it's not an easy species/group to do offhand.
No worries!

To be clear: Due to professional sources' confidentiality and loyalties to facilities, NGO's and individuals beyond this forum, I can and will only contribute and observe about events that are strictly in the public domain.

Just the fact that you have awareness, even if you're sticking to only publicly available information, would be a boon.

I made the decision to create a plain Zebra population list that will only include the AZA population. I previously wanted to include all the Plain zebras in North America, but it will be easier. This population list will most likely be posted late summer since I am working on a larger project.
Edit: I realized there is also no thread about Grevy Zebra population in North America

I think I am going to do Giant Anteater, Plain Zebra, Grevy Zebra population list. These are the population list that I am planning to do and that I am working on it. The giant anteater population list might be easy to do but I am not sure.
