Hi im looking to take my class of 9-10 year olds on a day trip soon which has to be linked to the science topic they are studying at the moment which is life cycles and habitats. Does anybody have any idea where we could go I did suggest Chester but was deemed to be too expensive so need somewhere local to Liverpool and be relatively cheap.

Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated thanks.

There's Bugworld in Liverpool - £3.25 per child plus free learning session. They also aim to offer every visitor a 'hands-on' experience if they want it.

Our place does educational bits, on the farm, and also out in the woodland. There are rangers that you book, and they give you a tour of the woodland, ponds etc and talk about habitats and lifecycles, as well as collecting species of bugs and that to look at? Have a look on the website...

A lot of schools in the North West visit Reaseheath: Reaseheath College > Home If you drop them a line they can probably put together a visit tailored to your curriculum.

I visited with my school - back in the last century - and it was one of the more memorable school trips.
