So tomorrow is the big day, my birthday is the 21.may and I then become 15 years old. At my last day in my life as a 14 year old, I think what to expect of the day, and what will happen later in my life. Tomorrow is it anyway my birthday, and the birthday to one of the youngest people on the forum.

Well Happy Early Birthday!:D

I think there are many of us on here that are around the age of 15. I'm 15 and epickoala is only 13. I think the youngest member ever was 11 (although I can't remember if I was told that that was cheetahgirl in which case that's probably not true).

Well enjoy your birthday all the same! Are you going to any zoos for your birthday?

Yes I know I am not the youngest here. I have heard there are many people here under 20. And know I am not going to visit any zoos on my birthday, because it is not any in the area where I live, but I am going to eat a dinner on a chinese restaurant today. I would anyway have liked to visit a zoo on my birthday. Last year I visited a small, but nice minizoo in Norway called Amadeusparken, it was the best birthday gift I have ever got.

And thank you all people for the gratulations, all people have a good day.

Happy Birthday Norwegian moose! You are exactly one day older than me. My birthday is May 22 and I am turning 15 too!

Happy birthday!

I visited Oslo a few years ago to visit a friend. I believe he lived in either Solvangtung or Kjeller. I asked if there was any wildlife near him and he said there were bears. I spent the entire bus ride from Oslo looking for bears in the forest. Only when we went to his house did he tell me that he was just joking around. :D

Sounds like an humerous situaution:)

Are there really bears near Oslo?

I have not heard anything of bears being near Oslo, but I have heard about wolf being seen outside Oslo, in an area that is called Østmarka. It have even been seen wolf in a place called Ruste in Norway, that is only 15 minutes from where I live. The wolfs that are seen are "immigrants" from Sweden. It is about 15-20 wolfs living wild in Norway that, all come from Sweden. The immigrants are unwanted, although they are protected, many people especially farmers want to kill them. On Dovre only about an hour from where I live you can see muscox, they are introduced from Greenland. You can also see reindeer their. And the occasional wild boar is even seen here sometimes. They are also unwanted immigrants from Sweden, and you do not need a hunting licence to be alowed to shoot one. And of course we have the famous moose, that is my motto, that I see quite often. So to sum up, Norway have quite many exciting animals really.

But no bears near Oslo. :p

At least you have polar bears up north, which is very cool.

Have you ever seen the Norwegian Blue Parrot?

Yes we have polar bears on Svalbard, an island group that belongs to Norway, but there are no polar bears on the mainland. And there are actually a few brown bears in Norway that is living wild (about 20), but none have been seen in the Oslo area in a long time.
