Not that it matters much to me, but it seems like people from North America are largely in the minority in the General Forum. It's intriguing for me to talk to folks from Europe and Asia, since I've never been to any of their institutions, I was just wondering if I'm supposed to be posting someplace else? Does it even really matter?

That's true, I hardly see anyone from the US. I see people from Canada contributing to the North American section, but not that many Americans.

When the forum first started it was mostly people from Australian and New Zealand posting. Then the Europeans found the site, with quite a few people from the UK, Netherlands and Germany starting to post. We did have a few people from the US early on, but it's only been recently that we've started to see a lot more traffic from the US and Canada.

The UK is now the largest source of visits to the site, with Australia dropping and the US and Canada increasing in traffic over recent months. The attached chart shows a breakdown of the source of visits over the past month.

You can post wherever you want - doesn't matter if you've never been to a zoo - you can always ask questions about it! Have a look at the photo gallery for that zoo and you'll find plenty of stuff to talk about.

If you want to start a new thread about one of your local zoos, go to the US section for that.
