Closed Notification Problem

For a few days, I haven't been receiving any email notifications of new Private Messages or new replies to threads. Can you help?

I've had the same problem for days now, and I sent a message to the technical support area of ZooChat. I also still cannot mark galleries as read, and that has been in place for about a month now.

I think this started happening after the "Database Error" a few days back which lasted most of the afternoon. I haven't gotten any notifications since then.

Do you all think the site is still safe to use as these problems have started occuring after the site had to be shut down for a system update for protection again virus' etc the other week and it also seems to be running slow (well it has been for me)?

Got database error once about three or four days ago - I assumed the entire system was down for maintenance. Does not seem to be any slower, but same problem with email notification.

That's just been fixed this morning - finally managed to work out what the problem is.

The site update was completely unrelated to the current problems.

We have recently been having some performance problems on the server relating to the database. I'm working with our hosting provider to try and resolve them and improve performance on the site.

Okay - I think I've tracked down the problem with emails ... for some reason the mail server stopped accepting emails from the website.

I've changed the settings and the site now passes the diagnostic checks for sending emails.

Please let me know if you still aren't receiving notifications that you expect to be getting.
