Yorkshire Wildlife Park Nyala

None - they never arrived. Not sure if they're still lined up for the future or not. For the moment, YWP just have the big (breeding) group of Kafue Lechwe and the Edinburgh Addax, antelope-wise.

That's a bit disapointing, they have them listed on the website to.

Thats a shock! They have a info sign for them.

It's unfortunate but that's the way the cookie bounces sometimes! ;)

It's odd that the sign hasn't been taken down (I noticed it myself when I was there last week).

YWP is starting to look like it will be a great collection once it has added more species which it is doing, i think some more smaller species such as birds and small mammals would be great.

Does anyone know of any new species coming in? accept the lions.

I'd imagine they will build a reptile house or something along those lines.

yes, and i imagine penguins and/or a pinnpid exhibit will open, aswell as some aviarys feturing parrots and other exotic birds, also some monkey enclosures and a ape exhibit (gibbons, gorillas or somthing along those lines).

I do believe they have expressed their intrestes in Rhinos, Hippos, elephants, giraffes and bears. i also suppose that twe can all dream on what we want for the collection.

You imagine? They're just ideas, not proof. Saying that I imagine they could get dinosaurs and dragons would be plausable in that sense.

Part of me thinks that that little road to nowhere was sarcasm to the previous poster. But prior knowledge makes me think it's a genuine post. Oh well.

where were the nyala supposed to come from?

I asked today and now they have the addax they probably won't get nyala.
Camels are due next week.
The lion enclosures have been designed and paperwork is underway.
The two, month-old meerkats are very doing very well.
