Oddest zoo rumours

There was an actual similar event in San Fransisco a few years back when one or two koala were stolen from the zoo, by 2 schoolboys who wanted to give the koala to their girlfriends as presents FACT!

I remember seeing that on the news!! Crazy!

I don't understand why it would be hard for them to see France on a clear day - unless they are short-sighted. I think the views at Port Lympne are almost as wonderful as the hordes of migrant insects you sometimes see in the summer (too many Ss, sorry! )

I agree the views there are stunning though I've never seen the French coast from PL, maybe weather conditions weren't right or I haven't looked(okay I admit it is the latter...) I'm just not sure exactly what the Gorillas might get out of seeing the French coastline- especially as it was only done in that one building design and never bothered with again after that!!!

I think they would enjoy the view, they just wouldn't appreciate the fact that it's another country lol.
And regarding the person nicking the rhesus macaque, I doubt it because... Well, try catching one!

Has anyone heard the rumour of the stolen penguin?

It is told in many zoos.

Real penguins, however, have very sharp beaks. And, apparently, hit with a flipper also hurts like being slapped by a ruler.

Yes, and they kill if they bite. It would NOT be easy to nick one.
