I know the exhibit is being renovated. That is why Nieve left. I stumbled across the snow leopard news because they had an image on their Facebook for a regional group fundraiser. I then checked the latest plan. I do not know where at the zoo they are going. I am just glad it appears the zoo is finally growing and improving.

Hello.

The snow leopard will be on exhibit in the former red panda / goral exhibit by the barn. The red panda's will be moving to the main building, where a new indoor/outdoor exhibit has taken the place of the former model train room and is still under construction.

To answer your questions about the Andean bear exhibit, it is on its way out. Nieve is now at the Toledo Zoo, and the last bear, Joaquin, is next to go. The exhibit is part of a renovation that is planned for somewhere in the next 1-3 years, where hotel rooms in the style of African tribal huts will be built and can be rented out to guests, who will be able to stay overnight at the zoo and be in close proximity to both the river otter exhibit and the planned exhibit for African penguins, which will take the place of the current Andean bear space.

In current news, renovations to the cheetah exhibit have been completed, and two new cheetahs, Andiamo and Frankie from the Pittsburgh Zoo, have been on exhibit since mid-April.

Additionally, the zoo's emus, which were formerly only visible from the train, have been moved to the Australian section, alongside the lorikeet/kookaburra aviary and the kangaroo walkabout.

I do not. It is looking like they will be sent to another zoo, but I can't say for sure.

The new red panda exhibit is fairly spacious, but due to much of it being indoors, it leaves little room for ungulates. On the bright side, it does allow the red pandas to be on exhibit during the heat of the summer, thanks to air conditioning.
 
The new red panda exhibit is complete, and both indoor and outdoor viewing is now possible.

In other news, the zoo has built a new pen in between the cheetah exhibit and the Australian area; this pen is for one of the zoo's two African spurred tortoises, which have outgrown their former paddock right across from the train station. A new tortoise species has since taken up residence in this old enclosure, of which there are quite a few individuals.

Lastly, an alpaca is now on exhibit, sharing space with the zoo's llama.
 
Three red pandas, Junjie, Hamlet, and Amber, are on exhibit at the new Red Panda Forest, featuring two indoor exhibits and one outdoor exhibit.

The zoo has also started construction on a new exhibit at the Wetlands.

After speaking with someone connected to the zoo, I have some updates.

A raptor exhibit is apparently being implemented in the barn.

The zoo's Indian peafowl, currently behind the scenes, are to go on exhibit with the Chinese gorals at the Wetlands.

I'm not sure if the zoo is still planning on building the hut-style hotel rooms in the place of the former Andean bear exhibit now that Joaquin and Nieve have been shipped out to Philadelphia and Toledo respectively. I do know however that African penguins and spotted hyenas are currently planned for the area.

Two bobcat kittens are currently on display via the viewing window of the vet hospital; once grown, they will go on exhibit at the Wetlands.

Giraffes and colobus monkeys are also on the slate for the zoo at some point.
