Does anyone know if Cleveland Metroparks Zoo ever had okapi? The zoo website doesn't say they ever did and I don't have proof they did, but I- along with my mom and another ZooChatter vividly remember the zoo having them in 2006 or '07. My mom remembers them near the old Pachyderm Building (which closed in 2008) in the row of yards between the elephants and the start of Australian Adventure- which held African ground hornbill, a duiker species, red-crowned crane, turkey vulture, saddle-billed stork, bongo and ostrich (once or twice)- while I remember them on the right side of the path leading up the hill to the giraffes- an area that does not have any animals in it now. Again, We are all definitely not mixing up okapi with bongo or Cleveland with Columbus or Cincinnati. Does anyone else remember them there?

I cannot find any evidence of them having the species, especially that recently.
