From memory, they held 1.4 okapi (Nuru, born 01/10/16 at Zoo Basel, arrived from YWP), Kibi (Born 06/03/08 at Rotterdam), Daphne (Born 24/04/13 at ZSL London), Niari (Born 17/04/19 at Marwell) and the youngest, Nkutu (born 21/07/23 at Marwell)

Unable to assist further with the Arabian oryx, apologises! :p

Am I right in saying 1.4 is the highest number for any of the UK holders of Okapi?

They would have to go outside Uk to get one as they are now the only holder here. I fear maybe not but would hope so.
I have an inkling that Read may do a bit more regarding international moves than did Cretney later on. Already a snow leopard has arrived from the Czech Republic. Not sure how this translates to hoofstock [particularly given the giraffe episode] but hopefully it's a sign of things to come.

I would like to think so two of the three females are now old, five or six years ago there was a place in the south of England with a group private ,person from the middle east, I do not know if they are still around.
