Omura's whale recorded in the wild for the first time

Omura's whales: Scientists release video of first confirmed sighting of species in wild - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

The Omura's whale is a rorqual that was only identified in 2003, with most information coming from dead animals, live sightings being rare. Scientists recently released the first video footage of this species and have cataloged 25 individuals.

So much we don't know about our ocean...
