hello alli am looking for any ideas on finding out if the one by one zoo series is available on dvd or vhs? i have been looking for a long while with no hope. can you help?
Yes, it was a wonderful programme. I also enjoyed seeing Dudley Zoo in the episodes.
I did try to find out if the BBC could help me, but to no avail.
I've got all the books in the series and was really hoping to complement them with a copy of the TV series, but it seems to be wishful thinking!
"...looking back at One by One it is perhaps sad that David Taylor took an interest in exotic species after working at a veterinary practice in the North west when the animals that needed veterinary care from the Belle View Zoo came into the surgery for treatment, if the animal died it was a case of "O Well at least we tried and they can now claim the insurance money..."
Are you seriously suggesting David Taylor was not the highly committed and pioneering wildlife vet that he truly was?
And that he was only 'in it for the money'?
If so, I'd like to know on what basis you make that claim?-certainly I hope it isn't from the series as it was a highly fictionalised version of his life-they called him Donald Turner for pete's sake. They also made his character reluctant to visit the exotics whereas in real life David Taylor was keen to take on the unusual task and improve conditions for the animals he treated.
If you had bothered to make your meaning clearer, then I obviously would not have misunderstood it, would I?
What I wrote was perfectly clear and factually correct,
What I wrote was perfectly clear and factually correct, I am pleased, however that you realise that you misunderstood.
Just "go away", is that clear and concise? Also I am not prepared to continue with your drivelSemantics. If you can't write what you mean in a clear concise manner I can hardly be criticised for misunderstanding it.
