One of the original captive California condors flies free again

Here's a nice story to start off 2016:

One of the last wild California condors brought into captivity in 1985 to help start the captive breeding program, AC-4, has been released into the wild again.

He sired 30 chicks in captivity and condor biologists hope that he will find a mate and have more chicks in the wild.

There were 19 condor chicks born in the wild in 2015.

AC-4 has come full circle!

It would be really nice to see him pair up and once more become a breeding partner in the wilds.
