Of all the cougar exhibits that I have personally seen I've managed to come up with a list of 13 that have one thing in common and that is the lack of a roof. Two are found in Canada while the others are all in the United States and it seems that an open-topped cougar exhibit is perhaps slightly more common than people realize. Are there any others that I've missed or haven't seen?

Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum
B.C. Wildlife Park (Canada)
Chattanooga Zoo
Cougar Mountain Zoo
Dakota Zoo
DeYoung Family Zoo
Greater Vancouver Zoo (Canada)
NEW (Northeastern Wisconsin) Zoo
Northwest Trek Wildlife Park
Pine Grove Zoo
The Living Desert Zoo
White Oak Conservation Center
Wildlife Prairie Park

When I visited Out of Africa in 2010, I remember seeing an open-topped cougar habitat (the single cat shared the exhibit with a pair of black bears). However, I don't know if that is still the case today.

The puma has passed away and they no longer house that species.

I've now seen 17 open-topped Cougar exhibits, which is genuinely surprising considering this cat's notoriety for great leaps and bounds. The number is much higher than I would have expected.
