Welsh Mountain Zoo opinions on the zoo

Welsh Mountain is a fairly old-fashioned zoo so to speak. Its not a bad zoo by any means but dont get your hopes up of world class exhibits.
I wont roll off a list of everything you can see there (the website and Wikipedia will give you that). But the zoo's best exhibit is probably the Otter/Red Panda enclosure, though they arent exactly easy to see so numerous visits to that enclosure may be needed. The Snow Leopards are fantastic, just a shame their enclosure is awful. Margay are another species to look out for, though you'll be lucky to see them.
Some of the enclosures have been placed in rather stupid places, theres a rather long and confusing treck to see the Golden Eagles and Ravens.
The collection itself isnt partically interesting since they lost the Kulans and Persian Leopards. I suppose the Margays would make up for it if they showed themselves.
The zoo isnt as bad as im making it out to be though dont worry, most of the enclosures are addequate enough though, and on the whole its a very nice zoo.
When you visit could you take note please on how developments are coming along with the Meerkat enclosure? Assuming they've started of course. Thanks.

I love WMZ! it's small and cute in some ways.
The best exhibit probably is "Sealion-Rock".
The camel house was originally built for Asian Elephants!
No Gemsbok i'm afraid! which is a crime! lol

Enjoy yoiur visit!
;)
