Orang/Siamang enquiry

As part of my research for my latest planet zoo project, I’m interested in how the set up for the orang/siamang exhibit at Dublin zoo works.

I believe that there is the main Orang house and a separate Siamsng house but I was just wondering if anyone could let me know how/if they keep the species separate from each others houses?

Hopefully that makes sense!

As far as I know, even though the two species are able to cross between the two islands thanks to the overhanging rope bridge, the siamangs keep to their house, which is on the opposite side of the path to the orangs' house, while the orangs keep to theirs.

Hope that helps.

Oh cool thanks, so the opportunity is there for both species to enter the housing but they just chose not to? Do they have other enclosures apart from the island and housing?
